What is worth knowing about PVC windows?
PVC windows are currently much more popular than wooden windows, which, as you can guess, results from their relatively low price. Their other advantages include, above all, appropriate thermal insulation and high durability. Products of this type can be functional even for several dozen years. What is equally important, there is no need for maintenance – although it is worth choosing PVC windows with an aluminum overlay, thanks to which they will not yellow under the influence of sunlight.
However, do not forget that the products described also have their disadvantages. They are relatively sensitive to temperature changes, have a low level of permeability (which can lead to problems with proper ventilation of the room), and their availability in unusual shapes is sometimes limited.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of wooden windows?
The specificity of wooden windows is slightly different, they are primarily heavier and more expensive than PVC windows. Their characteristic feature is also relatively high stiffness and good tolerance of temperature differences – thanks to this, they are suitable for creating large glazing. These windows are a good choice for large spaces. In addition, they come in various shapes, which allows them to be easily adapted to the requirements of different customers. The disadvantages of wooden windows include the aforementioned high price, as well as the need for regular maintenance.
